A favourite with all the family is
a days outing to the Anglo Saxon royal burial
site where the priceless Sutton Hoo treasure was discovered in a huge ship grave. The
exhibition tells the story of the site which has been described as page one
of English history and displays some of the original objects as well as
replicas of the treasure. The burial site forms part of a 245-acre estate with excellent
walks.

outing take a trip to the Secret Nuclear Bunker
the biggest and deepest cold war bunker open to the public in South East England.
Nestled in the heart of the Essex countryside lies the twilight and once highly secret
world of the cold war. Build in great secrecy at the start of the cold war and under
strict military security it was from here central government and military commanders would
have run the region in the event of a nuclear attack.
