1 En-Suite Four-Poster Bedroom
|
The stairway opening from the inner hall leads towards the luxurious bedrooms. Passing through the Medieval archway the four-poster bed in The Abbot’s Room, that was once Abbot John of London’s personal quarters, has a romantic look that perfectly compliments the specially weaved Gainsborough fabrics that were used to create the fabulous red and gold silk curtains. This look forms the inspiration for the whole room and is echoed throughout creating a most relaxing atmosphere. The design and colour of the carpets and wall decoration was inspired by the magnificent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the world’s finest museum of decorative art and design. |
