Surrounded by acres of open fields, that are perfect for those early morning strolls, the farm chase leads you towards your country cottage where the sounds of traffic are replaced by those of songbirds that make Park Hall their home. Here you can leave all the worries and stresses of everyday life behind as under scudding skies you can enjoy the fresh air and the sense of freedom that staying in the middle of a 600-acre farm can provide. Built on its varied history, it was once a cart lodge and hay barn, now it has been created into a country home that encapsulates all that is wonderful about country life. Fitting harmoniously into the farm surroundings it is the cottage interiors that will impress most. With the sunlight streaming through the open stable door you will be drawn further in to a picturesque kitchen where the soft cornflower blues and primrose yellows provide a cheerful reception.

The china is Wedgwood, the curtains a perfect combination of Harlequin and Nouveau fabrics; this fully fitted oak kitchen has every appliance you would expect to find in a deluxe country home, even the Fired Earth's tiles echo the luxurious feel of the co-ordinated fabric and furnishings. A laid tea tray awaits, you may want to sit a while and unwind watching the horses graze peacefully in the paddock opposite.

Passing through the beamed archway into a lounge of generous proportions, the standards of excellence that have won the cottages many awards can be experienced at first hand. The magnificent high beams bathed in soft light create a relaxing mood, with Villa Nova's 'Silken Stripe' and Harlequin's sumptuous 'Rose Garland' curtains caressing two windows that look out across the private walled garden and patio.

Relax and unwind in one of the deep, comfortable sofas while browsing through a selection of the many magazines and books thoughtfully provided. Fall asleep listening to your favourite music in front of the fireside; after all you are here to enjoy yourself.

If you like bedrooms of character you will be spoilt for choice. With three to choose from you might opt for the four-poster bed, draped in lavish folds of ivory with just a hint of strawberry red, the theme continuing through to the Villa Nova curtains and co-ordinating accessories. The walls here are painted with Farrow and Ball's 'String' that perfectly compliments the oak floor and magnificent high oak beams. A striking canvas painting hangs below the beams highlighted by a shaft of light from one of the pretty wall lights. In the en-suite bathroom, is the ultimate in double showers and in the wall cabinet a fine selection of special toiletries awaits you.

The master bedroom, with its fully fitted wardrobes and vanity unit, creates a romantic hideaway with soft lighting reflecting on the beamed walls painted in Fired Earth's 'Shagreen'. Either side of a great boon of a six-foot bed, or twin beds if preferred, two cabinets can be found complete with bedside lamps, clock radio and glass carafes. There are handmade chocolates too, wrapped with ribbons and bows, that perfectly compliment the colour of the flowers on the curtains and matching bed linens.

Cheerful pinks, apricots and golds highlighted by the sun filtering through the south-facing window, greet you as you enter the twin bedded room. The walls of the room are a soft shade of 'Orangery' from the Farrow and Ball's paint collection that co ordinates well with the fitted wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets. A bathroom with gleaming white tiles adjoins the bedroom with walls painted the palest shade of 'Forget me not' perfectly matching the lilacs and blues of the Liberty curtains and blind. There is a bath with shower and above the washstand and basin can be found a mirrored cabinet that lights up when fully opened to reveal toiletries within. There is even a heated towel rail and towels bound in ribbons that enhance the overall picture.
